The heart of Trellis

Meet Cy.

The chief of staff who learns your family.

Cy's not a chatbot. He's not a therapist. He's not a life coach.

Cy is the calm older cousin every family wishes they had. He reads every pillar in Trellis. He reads both calendars. He learns your family's patterns over weeks, months, and years. The longer he's with you, the more he knows. Then, when it matters, he names one thing and asks one question.

Examples

Cy · Tuesday morning

Jaiye's had practice four nights two weeks in a row. A month ago three was the ceiling. Want me to flag it Sunday before it's just how the week looks?

Cy · Thursday night

Sixteen days since you and Kendra had a real check-in. Last fall, a stretch like this is right when things got quiet. Want me to hold twenty minutes Thursday?

Cy · Friday afternoon

Eating out's at $640 this month, almost all of it Jaiye's late-practice nights. Same pattern as last month. Want a plan for those two nights, or leave it?

How Cy shows up

Observation

What Cy notices in the data.

Question

The one thing worth naming.

Capture

Where your decision lives.

Every single interaction follows this three-part structure. Short. Actionable. Useful.

What Cy doesn't do

  • He's not gonna nag.
  • He's not gonna moralize.
  • He's not gonna ask how you're feeling.
  • He's not gonna give you ten options when one will do.
  • He's not your pastor, your therapist, or your best friend. Cy knows what he is and what he isn't.

How Cy is built

Cy runs on Claude from Anthropic. Every response goes through a voice layer we built specifically for him. He only reads data from your Trellis account, nothing else. He learns your family over time, and that understanding lives in your account. It isn't training data for some bigger model. Your family's information is yours. Stays yours.
